Deptford Heritage Festival is a brand new 4 day festival of music, market stalls, performance and community interaction celebrating the diverse heritage of a much loved area.
Over the first May Bank Holiday Weekend (1st – 4th May) there will be a packed schedule of events and a bustling festival atmosphere to enjoy…and So Vintage is going to be a part of it.
Sited at the top of the high street at the entrance to the festival we’ll have our usual 30 stalls of vintage fashion, homewares and antiques to browse – all surrounding Deptford’s original Maypole complete with dancers!
There will be 9 stage areas covering Classical music, world music, jazz and blues, plus spoken word and performance arts.
There will also be a food festival reflecting the 127 cultural groups that call this part of London home.

Literature from the History of London’s Docks to Christopher Marlowe, who is buried in Deptford. Robert Browning , Kath Duncan
Maypole dancing
Fashion Show
The Festival will finish with “Deptford does Abba” In which we create the wedding set from Mamma Mia and festival goers will be encouraged to dress up in their best 70’s gear and join celebrities singing their favourite ABBA songs as Fireworks bring the festival to a close with Deptford becoming one giant community choir singing “Thank you for the Music
